We are a Christ-centered, grace-oriented, Sabbath-celebrating fellowship of believers who are being transformed into the image of Christ by the Holy Spirit. God’s written Word is our sole authority for belief and practice. We partner with God as He is reconciling the world to Himself in Christ. We embody kingdom living in our homes, churches, and communities.
The Church of God (Seventh Day) believes it is the calling of the church to carry out the Great Commission (Matthew 28:16-20). We do this through evangelism and instruction from the Word of God. We believe in the work of the Holy Spirit to give us new life in Christ Jesus.
The leadership of the Church of God (Seventh Day) is chosen by the people and given the honor of providing direction and vision. From the local church to the district leaders and up to our president and board of directors, our purpose is to serve the body of Christ.
The Church of God (Seventh Day) is a Sabbath-observing denomination that has a rich history spanning over 150 years. Over many decades, the Church has grown from a small group in Michigan to more than 230 congregations in the United States and Canada, with an estimated 14,000 members. Affiliated churches and conferences make up a worldwide membership in its International Ministerial Congress of over 200,000 members in more than 40 countries.
